Story of life: Benny lived in the area of Vila do Bispo, together with his sister and mother, Terra and Maité. They belonged to an elderly German man who had to return to his country due to health issues. Benny and his family had total freedom and lived as a pack. Because they had some episodes where they were aggressive towards other animals (they killed a sheep), the local shepherds wanted them to be put down. In order to save them, we took them into our shelter in 2012.

Behavior: Benny is a big dog but very, very shy. He is also calm and obedient. Doesn't like other dogs, or other animals, but he lives peacefully with his sister and mother, the only dogs he tolerates.With people he is great but he will hide behind the bushes if he doesn't know them well.
We would like Benny to be rehomed with his sister with a garden or land where they could live peacefully for the rest of their lives.
